Banking News – Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) parliamentary party leader Gyan Bahadur (Gyanendra) Shahi has urged the government to take the strictest legal action against individuals involved in defrauding Nepali youths in the name of foreign employment.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Shahi said a large number of Nepali youths continue to fall victim to various forms of fraud while seeking employment abroad.

“We strongly demand that the government take the maximum legal action against those who defraud people in the name of foreign employment,” Shahi said.

Shahi claimed that more than 150,000 Nepali youths fall victim to various forms of fraud each year in the name of foreign employment. He also alleged that individuals involved in such fraud often regain political access and influence following changes in political parties and governments.

“Those who deceived the people while being in the ruling party yesterday are seen around power again today after switching parties with the change in government,” he wrote.

Shahi stressed that such a situation must end and argued that legal action should be taken strictly on the basis of the nature of the crime, regardless of an accused person’s political affiliation, influence or position.

He called on the government to take stronger measures to control foreign employment-related fraud and ensure that those found guilty are brought within the legal framework without receiving political protection.
