Banking News – Ram Mohan Rao, Executive Director of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), is set to deliver a keynote address at the Nepal Capital Market Discourse 2026, scheduled to be held on September 6, 2026, at Marriott Hotel Kathmandu.
Organized by Banking Samachar and Banking News, and presented by NAASA Securities, the event will bring together key stakeholders and experts to discuss the future of Nepal’s capital market.

As the Keynote Speaker, Rao is expected to share insights on capital market regulation in the AI era, short selling and intraday trading, market surveillance and investor protection, emerging technologies and artificial intelligence, and lessons that Nepal can draw from India’s capital market experience.
The discourse will feature three sessions, three moderators, more than 16 speakers and over 300 invited participants, providing a platform for policymakers, regulators, investors, financial experts and other capital market stakeholders to exchange views on the development of Nepal’s capital market.
Rao’s participation is expected to add an important international perspective to the discussion, particularly on modern capital market regulation, technology-driven market surveillance and investor protection.
The Nepal Capital Market Discourse 2026 will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Marriott Hotel Kathmandu, under the theme “The Voice of Nepal’s Capital Market.”
