Banking News – A devastating flood has caused massive physical damage in Rasuwa. The flood that struck the Lende Khola (Bhote Koshi) on Wednesday morning has caused extensive damage to Syafrubesi, Timure, and surrounding areas.

Two Nepali Army helicopters have been deployed to the affected areas to assess the situation and carry out rescue operations. The government has also directed all helicopter companies to remain on standby.

Minister for Communications Dr. Bikram Timilsina has informed that the flood has caused massive damage in Rasuwa. The government has directed relevant security agencies, district administration offices, local levels, disaster management authorities, and other concerned bodies to maintain high alertness, remain prepared for rescue and relief operations, and take all necessary measures.

According to Dhruva Prasad Adhikari, Assistant Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, the flood in Lende Khola (Bhote Koshi) has caused extensive damage to the Rasuwa border area. He informed that two markets, including Timure, have been completely destroyed.

“Two markets have been completely destroyed,” said Adhikari. “Timure and the adjacent market have been devastated. There were a large number of vehicles and other goods in the Rasuwa customs area. All of them have been swept away.”

The flood has caused massive damage to the market and customs area, Adhikari added. The new bridge, which had just been completed after being damaged by last year’s flood, has also been swept away by this year’s flood.

With the flood causing extensive damage to roads, bridges, markets, customs areas, and vehicles and goods there, efforts have been initiated for rescue operations and damage assessment. Security agencies and local administration have maintained high alertness considering the risk of further damage in the affected areas.
