Banking News – The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has urged high alert in riverine areas, stating that a large flood has entered the Bhote Koshi River from the Tibetan side in Rasuwa. The authority has requested citizens residing in the riverine areas of the Bhote Koshi, Trishuli, and Narayani rivers to exercise special caution until further notice.

Considering the flood risk, the authority has urged families residing in riverine areas of Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, Gorkha, Chitwan, and Tanahun districts to move to safe locations. The authority has also urged people to contact toll-free numbers 100, 1234, and 1114 if search and rescue assistance or any other help is required.

Meanwhile, the authority has requested the public not to travel on the Prithvi Highway, Galchi-Nuwakot-Rasuwa-Syafrubesi road, and Muglin-Narayangadh road, considering the potential risk. Local levels and administration have also been urged to completely restrict movement on these road sections. The authority has appealed to all concerned agencies and citizens to coordinate, cooperate, and facilitate search, rescue, and relief operations following the disaster.
