Banking News – Private helicopters are being mobilized for search and rescue operations in the areas affected by the flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has directed that rescue operations be organized under government coordination to avoid increased air traffic and the risk of accidents from haphazard helicopter flights.

The Authority has written to the district administration offices of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Gorkha, Dhading, and Chitwan, instructing them to ensure that helicopter-based search and rescue operations are conducted through the respective District Security Committees with necessary decisions.

If Nepali Army helicopters are required, coordination must be done with the Nepali Army team in the respective district. In cases where private helicopters are needed, the Authority has instructed that immediate rescue arrangements be made through designated contact persons.

For private helicopter management, the Authority has designated Sachit Aryal of Heli Everest, Mingma Sherpa of Altitude Air, and Balkrishna Pandit of Air Dynasty as contact persons. Considering potential helicopter accidents and other technical risks, all helicopters involved in rescue operations are being mobilized under government coordination and a systematic air operation framework.
