Banking News – Kumari Bank Limited has deposited Rs 3 crore in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund under its corporate social responsibility program to support relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts for communities affected by the recent floods and natural disasters in various districts of the country.

The bank has also dispatched five advanced AI-enabled surveillance drones, three portable generators with 5 KVA capacity, and 100 power banks, worth approximately Rs 39 lakh, to the Nepali Army camp in Nuwakot to make search, rescue, and monitoring operations in the disaster-affected areas more effective.

The recent disaster has affected districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan. The bank stated that the assistance has been provided in coordination with the Government of Nepal to deliver relief, food supplies, temporary shelter, and other essential humanitarian aid to affected families.

Kumari Bank has stated that it has been fulfilling its social responsibility toward communities during disasters and humanitarian crises. According to the bank, this assistance is expected to make a significant contribution to relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts for affected communities. During this difficult time of disaster, Kumari Bank expressed deep sorrow for the affected communities and urged relevant agencies to further effectively advance relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts. The bank also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and the safe search and rescue of those missing.
