Banking News – The team led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has returned to Kathmandu after conducting an on-site inspection of Bidur and surrounding areas in Nuwakot, which were severely affected by the flood. Prime Minister Shah, along with Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal, had traveled to Nuwakot by road this morning to observe the physical condition of the flood-affected areas.

After the flood from the Bhote Koshi in Rasuwa caused massive damage in riverine areas, Prime Minister Shah had been actively working to make rescue and relief efforts effective. After convening a high-level meeting following the flood and issuing necessary directives to relevant agencies, he conducted a direct inspection of the affected areas in Bidur and surroundings today.

The team led by Prime Minister Shah conducted on-site monitoring of the physical damage caused by the flood and held detailed discussions with local administration, security agencies, and people’s representatives regarding rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts.

During the inspection, Prime Minister Shah directed local administration and relevant agencies to provide immediate relief to displaced families, restore disrupted roads and other infrastructure promptly, and accelerate long-term rehabilitation efforts. After the Prime Minister’s team obtained direct information about the condition of the affected areas, necessary steps for relief, rescue, and reconstruction will be further made effective.
