Banking News – Power supply restoration and rescue efforts have been intensified in the flood-affected areas of Rasuwa and Nuwakot following the Bhote Koshi flood.
According to Nepal Electricity Authority, efforts are underway to restore electricity services in the affected areas by adopting available alternative technical measures. Power supply has been restored in Battar and Trishuli Bazar in Nuwakot. The Authority has stated that power supply has been restored by charging the Balaju–Trishuli and Chapali–Devighat 66 kV lines at 11 kV.

Through an alternative line connected from Sindhupalchok, electricity services have also been restored in Kharani Tar, Samundratar, Chougauda, Likhu, and Panchakanya areas. In Rasuwa, efforts are underway to restore the Trishuli West and Dhunche feeders by operating the Sanjen Hydropower Project in isolated mode through the Dhading feeder. Three diesel generators have been sent to Trishuli to provide electricity in essential locations.
Meanwhile, Nepali Army teams have been mobilized with necessary equipment for the rescue of workers and employees trapped at the Upper Trishuli-3A, Trishuli-3B, Rasuwagadhi, and Chilime hydropower projects. Under Upper Trishuli-3A, seven individuals, including a pregnant woman trapped in Shanti Bazar, have been rescued and brought to Trishuli. Efforts are ongoing to rescue other affected individuals, the Authority stated.
