Prime Minister and Ministers’ One-Month Salary to Be Deposited in Disaster Relief Fund

Banking News – The government has decided to deposit one month’s salary and allowances of the Prime Minister and all members of the Council of Ministers into the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers took the decision to deposit the one-month salary and allowances of the Prime Minister and all ministers into the disaster relief fund.

Similarly, the meeting also decided to direct the Ministry of Finance to prepare a concessional and rehabilitation package for affected individuals and business establishments in the districts impacted by the flood that struck the Nepal-China border area, Rasuwagadhi, Bhote Koshi River, and downstream areas on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Finance has been tasked with preparing a package that includes necessary financial and other concessions for the relief and rehabilitation of affected citizens and businesses.

Additionally, the Council of Ministers meeting has granted in-principle approval to Agriculture Materials Company Limited for the purchase of 25,000 metric tons of DAP fertilizer through the government-to-government (G2G) procurement process with India.
