Banking News – The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has decided to provide Rs 50 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund to support relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa.

Expressing deep sorrow over the human and physical damage caused by the flood, NAIMA has paid heartfelt tribute to those who lost their lives, extended condolences to the bereaved families, and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. NAIMA has also appreciated the support provided by its member organizations during this disaster. From the beginning of the disaster, NAIMA member companies have been contributing to rescue and relief efforts through financial, transportation, and logistical support.

NAIMA Chairperson Ritu Singh Vaidya stated that the association has been supporting the government and affected communities during disasters and emergencies since its establishment. “It is also the shared responsibility of the private sector to support the government and affected citizens during such difficult times. I extend heartfelt thanks to all our member companies who have shown readiness for support and cooperation in this disaster. Cooperation between the government, private sector, and community can make relief and rehabilitation efforts more effective,” she said.

Expressing high respect for government and security agencies, health workers, rescuers, volunteers, local communities, and organizations engaged in search, rescue, and relief efforts, NAIMA has urged all stakeholders in the automobile and mobility sector to join hands in assisting affected citizens according to their capacity and available resources.
