Banking News – Nepali Congress has decided to deposit Rs 1 crore in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to assist flood victims. Informing about the meeting held at the party’s central office today, Spokesperson Devraj Chalise said the party has decided to deposit Rs 1 crore in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.

“The government needs to intensify relief and rescue efforts. There is an urgent need to expedite efforts to rescue citizens trapped in tunnels. Search and rescue operations must be result-oriented. If our capacity falls short, we should seek support from international experts,” he said.

Spokesperson Chalise also emphasized the need to focus on assigning responsibility to local levels to make relief delivered to victims effective, and urged for immediate delivery of relief to victims. He stated that citizens from various districts who had traveled to Rasuwa and Nuwakot for tourism and business purposes were also affected by the flood, and stressed the need to pay attention to their search and safety.
