Banking News – The newly elected Chairman of Himalayan Bank Limited, Dr. Baikuntha Aryal, has taken the oath of office and secrecy. Dr. Aryal took the oath before the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel, on Monday.

The bank’s Board of Directors, in its 506th meeting, had unanimously elected Dr. Aryal as Chairman. He represents the promoter group shareholder National Life Insurance Company Limited on the board and is a former Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal.

The Board’s decision to elect Dr. Aryal as Chairman took effect from Bhadau 14.
