Banking News – Among those newly appointed to the position of Police Inspector under the open competition in the Nepal Police group, 16 departmental inspectors have been adorned with their rank insignia. Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki decorated them with their insignia at a program organized at Nepal Police Headquarters on Monday.

According to the advertisement published on Mangsir 26, 2082, the final results of the open competition published on Bhadau 6, 2083, saw a total of 29 Police Inspectors successful, including 16 departmental and 13 open category. They have been appointed to the position of Police Inspector effective from Bhadau 15, as per the decision of the Secretary-level meeting of the Ministry of Home Affairs dated Bhadau 9, 2083.

Karki also provided appointment letters to the 13 open-category Police Inspectors. Addressing the insignia decoration program, Karki congratulated the newly appointed police officers and welcomed the new entrants to the police organization.

Noting that this achievement came as a result of the dedication, perseverance, and hard work demonstrated by the newly appointed inspectors, he directed them to uphold departmental policies, directives, and the organization’s values and ideals, and to carry out their responsibilities with high professionalism, integrity, and accountability, keeping citizens at the center, thereby contributing to the organization’s growth.

IGP Karki also directed the police personnel to address security challenges emerging in the changing context, including organized crime, cybercrime, financial crime, and crimes arising from misuse of technology, with personal knowledge, skills, professional competence, and high ethical conduct. He also directed them to work with responsibility in line with public expectations by properly addressing problems and challenges in disaster management.
