NMB Bank Provides Rs 3 Crore 51 Lakh Assistance for Bhote Koshi Flood Victims

Banking News – The Chairman of the Board of Directors of NMB Bank Limited has handed over a cheque of Rs 3 crore 51 lakh to the Finance Minister for deposit into the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, with the objective of supporting relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River. Additionally, the bank has also provided relief materials worth Rs 10 lakh for citizens in the affected areas.

The sudden devastating flood has caused massive damage to riverine areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan. The flood has resulted in loss of life and property, displaced many families, and severely impacted roads, local infrastructure, and hydropower projects.

The bank has provided this assistance to stand with affected citizens during this difficult situation. The bank believes this will help in the treatment, food and shelter arrangements for flood victims, as well as reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged structures.
