Banking News – Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RASWAPA), Rabi Lamichhane, has paid tribute to the youths who lost their lives during the Gen Z movement and committed to not letting the demands and sentiments raised by the movement weaken. In a statement issued by Lamichhane, the voice raised by the Gen Z generation against corruption, party division, institutional inefficiency, restrictions on fundamental rights, and lack of opportunities has been recalled.

Referring to the incidents that took place in the country on Bhadau 23 and 24 as painful moments in Nepal’s history, he paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the movement and police personnel who died in the line of duty. He also emphasized the need to fulfill the responsibility of treatment for those injured during the movement and those suffering mental and physical trauma, as well as proper care and long-term rehabilitation of affected families.

Lamichhane stated that the Gen Z movement was not a call by any political party or leader but a spontaneous awakening, and that no political party should use it for its own interests. He also urged civil society and the general public to engage in constructive advocacy to prevent the youth’s anger from turning into despair. Expressing commitment not to deviate from the path of rule of law, equitable prosperity, and national pride, Lamichhane said that the questions raised by the Gen Z movement must now be answered through actions and deeds.
