Banking News – Police have arrested three individuals for online fraud by creating fake TikTok IDs and promising to provide electric (EV) scooters, motorcycles, and various spare parts at cheap prices. The arrested have been identified as Sandip Kumar Singh Kushuwaha (21) from Sarlahi, Sumit Das (21), and Dipush Singh (22) from Mahottari.
According to police, they operated a fake TikTok account named “Certified EV Seller Profile” and posted advertisements claiming to deliver EV scooters, motorcycles, and various spare parts at discounted rates with home delivery.

Customers who contacted them believing the advertisements were asked to send advance payments for the items, and after receiving the money, the suspects would go out of contact, according to complaints filed by victims.
Based on the complaints, a police team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, launched an investigation and arrested all three. Police have stated that necessary investigation into the arrested individuals is ongoing.
