Banking News – A total of 1,364 bodies have been recovered from various districts as of 5:00 PM Tuesday due to the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi in Rasuwa. According to Nepal Police, among the recovered bodies, 173 were found in Rasuwa, 197 in Nuwakot, 70 in Dhading, 363 in Chitwan, 75 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahun, 226 in Nawalparasi East, and 222 in Nawalparasi West.

Police have stated that necessary procedures including DNA sample collection have been initiated for identification of the recovered bodies. So far, 1,140 bodies have been managed. Bodies that have not completed the identification process have been securely buried.

For body identification, a total of 2,692 DNA samples have been collected, including 1,280 from the deceased and 1,412 from relatives. Details of 1,310 unidentified bodies have also been made public on the Nepal Police website.

Police have stated that a total of 7,975 police personnel have been deployed so far for rescue, search, relief distribution, and body management in the flood-affected areas. Meanwhile, search operations are ongoing for 4,077 individuals still missing after the flood. Police have stated that 3,245 individuals are currently being housed in holding centers established in various districts.
