Banking News – Police have arrested two individuals from Bhaktapur on charges of black marketing cooking gas. The arrested have been identified as Umesh Sah (25), who operates Sarlahi General Store at Brahmangar in Suryabinayak Municipality-3, and Rajesh Karmacharya (41), who has been selling Sagar Gas at Itachhe in Bhaktapur Municipality-2.

They were arrested on Thursday evening. According to the Central News Desk of Nepal Police, the arrests were made based on information that Sah had been selling gas at Rs 2,800 per cylinder to consumers.

A team deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office recovered 75 filled cylinders of Himal Gas and 14 cylinders of Sagar Gas. District Police Complex Bhaktapur is investigating the arrested individuals.
