Banking News – The Ministry of Finance has launched an integrated web portal with the objective of transparently publishing details of rescue, relief, and assistance received following the flood in the Rasuwa-Bhote Koshi area. The ministry has launched the “Rasuwa-Bhote Koshi Flood Update” portal (https://mofnepal.github.io/rasuwa-flood-update/) to make post-flood assistance availability transparent and accessible.

The portal, available in both Nepali and English, allows viewing in one place the assistance received in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, foreign aid, and official decisions of the Government of Nepal.

According to details published on the portal, as of Bhadau 24, 2083, 12.32 Billions has been received through 389 contributions via cheque and bank transfer to the Finance Minister. Including foreign assistance received through NCHL, Fonepay, and dollar accounts, a total of 12.32 Billions (approximately Rs 12 arab 32 crore) has been deposited in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund so far.

As of 9:00 AM on Bhadau 24, 12.32 Billions remains in the fund. Since data from various sources are from different times, the Fund Section of the Ministry of Finance is reconciling the integrated accounts.

The portal also contains rescue and relief details from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and Nepal Police, Cabinet decisions, and a list of contact persons for the one-door relief system. The ministry has stated that each published figure is updated only after being verified against official documents.

The ministry has urged individuals and organizations wishing to assist flood victims to send funds only through the official payment portal (https://donate.gov.np) and to coordinate with contact persons of the one-door system for cash or in-kind assistance. Additionally, https://rescue.opmcm.gov.np can be used for rescue-related requests.
