Banking News – The Department of Immigration has now made arrangements to obtain foreign travel details through the Nagarik App. Issuing a press release on Friday, the Department stated that with the objective of making its services more secure, organized, and technology-friendly, a new arrangement has been made for Nepali citizens to obtain international arrival and departure details (travel details) through the Nagarik App.

According to the press release, with the implementation of this arrangement, the compulsion for service seekers to physically appear at the Department or submit physical applications to obtain travel details has now ended.

The Department has stated that since the passport details of the concerned individual will be visible in the app, personal information will remain completely secure. Tikaram Dhakal, Director and Spokesperson of the Department, stated that while previously submitting applications physically caused procedural hassles, delays in receiving details, and increased workload for the Department, the new technology will save both time and cost for service seekers. According to him, various individuals and organizations can use this information obtained through the Nagarik App as an official source.
