Banking News – Citizens Bank has called its shareholders to the 20th Annual General Meeting with a dividend proposal. The decision of the bank’s Board of Directors meeting held on Ashoj 6 has called the meeting in Kathmandu on Ashoj 28. The meeting will begin at 11 AM.
The meeting will pass a proposal to distribute 3.80 percent bonus shares of the current paid-up capital and 0.20 percent cash dividend for tax purposes on the bonus shares. Similarly, the meeting will pass proposals including granting authority to the Board of Directors to make necessary amendments including additions and deletions as per directives received from bodies requiring approval for amending the bank’s Articles of Association, appointing an auditor for the fiscal year 2083/84 as per Section 111 of the Companies Act, 2063, on the recommendation of the Audit Committee, and determining their remuneration.

The bank will close its books for one day on Ashoj 19 for the purpose of the Annual General Meeting and dividend distribution. Accordingly, shareholders holding shares traded on NEPSE until Ashoj 16 will be able to participate in the bank’s Annual General Meeting and receive the dividend to be distributed by the bank.
