Banking News – Financial assistance for those affected by the flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa continues to pour in. So far, over Rs 15 arab 50 crore remains deposited across all accounts of the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Rs 11 arab 63 crore 80 lakh 980 thousand 291 is currently deposited in nine commercial banks under the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, while $2 crore 54 lakh 47 thousand 546 USD is deposited in dollar accounts at Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Sunrise Bank. Across all accounts, a total of Rs 15 arab 53 crore 24 lakh 42 thousand 962 remains deposited.

The government has already disbursed Rs 1 arab from the amount deposited in the fund for flood-affected areas. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Rs 20 crore 72 lakh 56 thousand 931 was deposited into the fund in the last 24 hours.
