Banking News – The water level in the Narayani River reached 11.94 meters today. The Narayani Basin Field Office Bharatpur has stated that the water level measured at the Devghat water measuring station is the highest ever since water measurement began.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the water level of the Narayani reached 11.94 meters at 2:10 PM. Here, 7.30 meters is considered the warning level and nine meters is considered the danger level. According to the latest measurement, the river’s water level had dropped to 11.75 meters at 3:40 PM. Although the river’s water level is decreasing, it remains significantly above the danger level.

According to Hydrologist Engineer Sumit Adhikari, Chief of the Narayani Basin Field Office, the highest water level ever measured in the Narayani since water measurement began was recorded today. He stated that since rainfall is continuing in the hilly areas, further fluctuations may occur in the river’s water level.

According to the office’s records, the maximum water level in the Narayani River had reached 11.6 meters on Ashoj 12, 2081 BS. The records mention that the maximum water level was measured at 8.33 meters on Shrawan 29, 2080 BS, 9.52 meters on Ashoj 20, 2079 BS, and 10.50 meters on Asar 2, 2078 BS. According to him, water measurement at Devghat began in 1963.
