Banking News – Fluctuations were seen in gold prices in the Nepali market this week. Although gold prices increased at the beginning of the week and then fell for two consecutive days, prices rose again on Friday, the last trading day of the week.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, gold prices increased by Rs 700 per tola on Sunday to reach Rs 2 lakh 99 thousand 3 hundred. On Monday, however, gold prices fell by Rs 5 thousand per tola to Rs 2 lakh 94 thousand 3 hundred. The falling trend continued on Tuesday as well. On that day, the price fell by Rs 3 thousand 8 hundred per tola, with gold traded at Rs 2 lakh 90 thousand 5 hundred.

On Wednesday, however, gold prices increased again. According to the Federation, on that day the price increased by Rs 2 thousand 8 hundred per tola to stand at Rs 2 lakh 93 thousand 3 hundred. Gold prices did not change on Thursday. On that day too, gold was traded at Rs 2 lakh 93 thousand 3 hundred per tola.
On Friday, however, gold prices increased by Rs 1 thousand 5 hundred per tola. According to the Federation, gold was traded at Rs 2 lakh 94 thousand 8 hundred per tola on Friday. Compared to the opening trading of the week, gold prices were Rs 4 thousand 5 hundred per tola lower by Friday.
