Banking News – Business customers affiliated with NIC Asia Bank’s e-commerce payment gateway can now receive payments easily through Visa and Mastercard users under Apple Pay and Google Pay for the first time in Nepal.

Under this facility, with the objective of making the digital payment system more modern, convenient, and secure, business customers affiliated with the bank’s Cybersource payment gateway, as well as those wishing to affiliate, will be able to accept payments easily and securely through their e-commerce platforms from Apple Pay and Google Pay users around the world.

Apple Pay and Google Pay are globally recognized mobile-based payment methods. Through this, international customers can make payments in a simple manner by securely storing their card details as electronic tokens on Apple Pay and Google Pay mobiles, removing the hassle of physically using cards.

To use this facility, business customers especially in sectors including hotels, tourism and travel, handicrafts, airlines, e-commerce, and information technology can affiliate with the bank’s e-commerce payment gateway Cybersource and receive payments from international customers through Apple Pay and Google Pay.

This facility will help Nepali businesses provide a more convenient and familiar payment experience for international customers. It is expected that this will further support the expansion of cross-border trade and the potential for foreign exchange earnings, especially for businesses receiving payments from international customers in tourism and hospitality, travel, e-commerce, information technology, and goods exports.
