Banking News – On the occasion of the great festival of Nepalis, Bada Dashain, the Nepal Tourism Board is set to construct and operate Linge Ping (traditional swings) at various tourist destinations, connecting original culture, tradition, and festivals with tourism.
The Tourism Heritage and Tourism Development Division of the Nepal Tourism Board is set to construct and operate Linge Ping in various tourist destinations across the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, in coordination with local levels and tourism-related associations and organizations, with the objective of promoting cultural tourism.
The Board has coordinated with Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Kirtipur Municipality, Changunarayan Municipality, Bhaktapur Tourism Development Committee, Thamel Tourism Development Committee, Himalayan Rescue Association, Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), Hotel Association Nepal, Hotel Entrepreneurs Federation, and hotel and tourism business associations in various provinces, along with relevant agencies in tourist areas.

According to the agreement, Linge Ping will be constructed at various tourist destinations and operated throughout the Dashain period. Arrangements have been made to place swings especially in locations with high tourist traffic and suitable for cultural activities. The agreement between the Nepal Tourism Board and the concerned local levels and organizations states that necessary safety arrangements, crowd management, and accident minimization measures must be mandatorily adopted while constructing and operating the swings.
The agreement also states that the responsibility of removing the swings after the Dashain program concludes and restoring the construction site to its previous condition will also lie with the concerned party. The Nepal Tourism Board has stated that it has advanced the program of constructing and operating Linge Ping during Dashain with the objective of preserving and promoting the original culture, tradition, and festivals of Nepalis and further promoting cultural tourism.
