Budhi Gandaki Flood: Nepal Army Rescue Team Reaches Affected Area

Banking News – A Nepal Army rescue team has reached the area affected by the sudden flood in the Budhi Gandaki. The Army’s rescue team was mobilized after information was received that a mud and debris-laden flood caused damage in the riverine areas after the Budhi Gandaki, which had been dammed by a landslide at Philim in Chumanubri Rural Municipality-3, Gorkha, burst open at around 4:30 AM today.

According to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepal Army, after the flood, the Army’s team has been mobilized to the affected area by air and land routes for search and rescue. Both teams have conducted reconnaissance and observation, and have rescued six people by air from Jagat village, which is at risk of landslides.

The “Composite Quick Response Team” based in Kathmandu has been deployed to the area by air, and the team has been urging residents of riverine and surrounding areas to move to safe locations.
