Banking News – A skybridge with lifts under construction at Kusunti Height in Lalitpur is being prepared for operation. The bridge, whose construction has reached its final stage, is targeted to be brought into operation before or immediately after the Chhath festival. However, a definite date for its operation and inauguration has not been made public.

Approximately Rs 4 crore 68 lakh has been spent on the bridge being constructed in the Ring Road area of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-13. The construction of the bridge, started in Falgun 2080, was targeted to be completed within one year as per the agreement. However, due to technical problems and complexities seen in the construction process, the work could not be completed within the stipulated time.

Lifts have been installed on both sides of the bridge. This is expected to make it easier for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, patients, and children to cross the road. The bridge has been constructed with the objective of safely enabling pedestrians to cross the road in the Ring Road area, which particularly sees high vehicular traffic, and reducing the risk of accidents.

Due to its lift-equipped structure, this skybridge in Kusunti has drawn the attention of the general public. Once the bridge comes into operation, it is expected to provide relief to pedestrians who have been facing difficulties crossing the road. Even though construction work has reached the final stage, the general public is waiting for its operation as the official date for the bridge’s operation has not been made public.
