Banking News – In view of the potential impact of cyclonic storm ‘Arnab,’ the government has kept all subordinate agencies on standby with high alert for risk reduction, protection of lives and property, and efficient operation of essential services. Since this cyclone, expected to affect Andhra Pradesh and Visakhapatnam in India, is estimated to weaken by the time it reaches Nepal, the risk of extremely strong winds is low, but the possibility of rainfall, snowfall, and some winds remains.
To keep the general public safe from potential weather risks, security agencies have been spreading awareness through mic-ing at various locations. Meanwhile, the Department of Tourism, Nepal Tourism Board, and Nepal Mountaineering Association have urged tourists and mountaineering teams to decide only after updating the official weather forecast before setting out for trekking and mountaineering.

Giving high priority to aviation safety, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has issued strict directives to keep airport operations, air traffic management, runway inspections, alternative flight plans, and communication and power systems in a state of full readiness.
Similarly, various District Administration Offices have also called upon the general public to assess the potential risks in their areas and adopt pre-preparedness and security vigilance. The government has made a special appeal to citizens not to follow any kind of misleading rumors and to trust only information issued by official agencies, and to remain safe by exercising necessary caution based on weather forecasts.
