Banking News – Kamana Sewa Development Bank Limited has concluded the sixth season of the “Kamana Sewa Futsal Cup,” organized on the occasion of its 20th anniversary with the objective of enhancing mutual goodwill, cooperation, and relations among banks and financial institutions. A total of 30 teams — 20 in the men’s category and 10 in the women’s category — participated in the tournament held at Dhanyantari Futsal on Sunday.

Dinesh Thakali, Chief Executive Officer of the bank, formally inaugurated the tournament by handing over the ball to Sangita Sunuwar, an ANFA referee. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the bank’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Chief Business Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and departmental heads and employees of various departments.

At the start of the tournament, friendly matches were organized between the Nepal Economic Journalists Society (SEJON), the Nepal Economic Journalists Association (NAJIF), and the Economic Media Association Nepal (IMAN). The title of that friendly competition was won by the Nepal Economic Journalists Association (NAJIF). In the men’s final of the main tournament, Kumari Bank defeated Machhapuchchhre Bank 3-2 on penalties to win the title. In the women’s final, defending champion Lumbini Development Bank defeated Global IME Bank 5-4 on penalties to claim this season’s title. At the closing ceremony, the bank’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Binay Dahal presented trophies, medals, and certificates to the winning and runner-up teams.

The bank believes that this tournament, which it has been organizing every year on the occasion of its anniversary, will help further strengthen mutual relations, unity, and cooperation among banks and financial institutions through sports. The bank has stated that the tournament has been providing an opportunity to connect employees of various institutions in one place through sports outside the workplace and to create an environment of healthy competition. The bank has also announced that it will organize a nationwide blood donation program on Wednesday, Kartik 18, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary.
