Kathmandu – Nuchhe Bahadur Maharjan, the Ward Chairperson of Chandragiri Municipality-12, has been arrested on charges of embezzlement related to a cooperative fraud case.

According to Navaraj Adhikari, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police Office and Superintendent of Police, Maharjan was detained by a team from the Sorhakhutte Police Circle. He is accused of misappropriating funds from the Hariyali Savings and Credit Cooperative, located in Thamel.
