The illusion that financial literacy programs are only needed by citizens must be abandoned: DCEO Regmi


Kathmandu – Deputy Chief Executive Officer of National Commercial Bank Pawan Regmi has said that financial equality program is necessary for everyone from citizens to the government. Answering the question raised on the second session of ‘Second National Banking Discourse 2024’ on ‘Social Impact and Current Status of Financial Literacy in Nepal’, he said that the illusion that financial equality is only necessary for citizens should be abandoned.

DCO Gyawali said, “First of all, we have to dispel the illusion that the financial equality program is only necessary for the lower class.” Equality program is necessary for all government, upper class citizens.

Bhuvan Dahal, Chairman of Financial Literacy Nepal, Santosh Koirala, Chief Executive Officer of Machhapuchhre Bank, Manoj Kumar Gyawali, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank, Pawan Regmi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of National Commercial Bank, were present in the second session on ‘Social Impact and Current Status of Financial Literacy in Nepal’.
