Kathmandu – Demographic data expert and journalist Chetan Adhikari has said that Remintas has played a special role in reducing poverty. Responding to the questions raised in the third session of the second National Banking Discourse 2024, “Sustainable Use of Remittances for Socio-Economic Development and Future Guidelines”, he said that remittances will play a special role in eradicating poverty and bringing in skills in the country.
In addition, he said, the state should take care of the citizens who have returned because they are unable to work abroad. The press officer said that social security fund is indispensable for this.
In the third session of the discourse, ‘Sustainable usefulness of remittances for socio-economic development and future guidelines’, Executive Director of Bank and Financial Institutions Regulation Department of Nepal Rastra Bank Guru Prasad Paudel, Demographic Data Expert Chetan Adhikari, Executive Director of Foreign Employment Board Dharika Upreti, Deputy Executive Officer (DCEO) Suman Pokharel is the Deputy Executive Officer (DCEO) of Global IME Bank.
