Dubai Dubai is set to introduce a single, integrated digital platform for all free zones, a move expected to significantly enhance the ease of doing business and strengthen the emirate’s appeal to global investors.

The Dubai Free Zones Council (مجلس المناطق الحرة بدبي) has announced plans to connect all of Dubai’s free zones through one unified digital system. Once implemented, businesses will no longer need to navigate multiple platforms for different zones, as key services including licensing, approvals, permits, visa processing, and other essential business functions will be accessible through a single streamlined interface.

The initiative is expected to accelerate market entry and expansion, allowing companies to set up and scale operations across multiple free zones with fewer procedural steps and reduced delays. By eliminating duplicated paperwork and fragmented processes, the platform aims to cut administrative complexity and improve coordination among relevant authorities.

Officials say the unified system will also deliver a more transparent and efficient investor experience, benefiting both foreign and local investors. Enhanced digital integration is expected to improve service delivery, reduce operational friction, and support faster decision-making for businesses operating in the emirate.

The move is seen as a strategic step toward strengthening Dubai’s competitiveness as a global business and investment hub, supporting increased foreign direct investment (FDI), and enabling startups and multinational companies to scale more easily within the UAE.
