Kathmandu — All preparations for the Third National Insurance Discourse 2026 have been completed. The discourse, jointly organized by Banking Samachar and News of Insurance, is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Magh 7, in Kathmandu.

The event, with Reliable Nepal Life Insurance as the title sponsor, will take place at Yak & Yeti Hotel. Powered by fonepay, the discourse is supported by Sanima Life Insurance and Suryajyoti Life Insurance. The program will witness the participation of representatives from regulatory bodies, insurance companies, banks and financial institutions, insurance experts, and personalities from various sectors.

Key discussion themes of the discourse include bancassurance: policy, regulatory and market realities, access to healthcare: the future of health insurance in Nepal, insurtech innovation: transforming insurance from a necessity into a lifestyle, and the future roadmap: restructuring and transforming the insurance industry for modern lifestyles.

A special session titled “Economics of Insurance” will also be held, featuring Dr. Prakash Kumar Shrestha, Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission.

According to Raju Dhungel, Managing Director of Banking Samachar, the discourse will be inaugurated by Dr. Ghanashyam Upadhyay, Secretary at the Ministry of Finance. The entire program will be broadcast live via Banking Samachar’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
