KATHMANDU – From now on, national identity card has been made mandatory for retired employees to get pension. The Pension Management Office under the Ministry of Finance has made the national identity card mandatory for pension distribution.

The office has written to Nepal Bank and National Commercial Bank to make necessary arrangements for this. In the first phase, the office has made national identity card compulsory for pensioners in 28 districts from July 1st.
