Banking News — Police have arrested a man accused of defrauding a job seeker by falsely promising employment in New Zealand.

The suspect, Sanjay Kumar, 42, a resident of Gopalganj, allegedly collected Rs. 980,000 from a victim after promising to arrange employment in New Zealand with an attractive salary before cutting off all contact.
According to police, the arrest was made by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office based on a complaint filed by the victim. Kumar was apprehended from Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 16.
Following his arrest, Kumar was handed over to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and legal proceedings.
