Banking News — Traffic police in the Kathmandu Valley penalized 2,042 motorists for violating traffic rules over the past 24 hours, generating Rs. 1.333 million in government revenue.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, enforcement actions included 56 drivers found driving under the influence of alcohol, 121 motorists operating ride-sharing services in violation of regulations, 87 drivers for running red lights, and 173 for speeding.
Police also took action against 128 motorists for violating lane discipline, 87 for using vehicle horns in prohibited areas, 85 for parking on sidewalks, and 56 for driving on one-way roads.
In addition, 1,249 motorists were penalized for various other traffic-related offenses, the office said.
