Man Convicted in Cheque Bounce Case Arrested After Evading Two-Year Prison Sentence


Banking News – Police have arrested a man who had been absconding after being convicted in a cheque bounce case involving Rs. 3.492 million.

The arrested individual has been identified as Bhimsen Kafle, a permanent resident of Ward No. 7 of Changunarayan Municipality who was currently residing in Balkumari, Lalitpur.

The Kavrepalanchok District Court had convicted Kafle in a cheque dishonour case, sentencing him to two years in prison and ordering recovery of Rs. 3.492 million. He had remained at large following the court’s verdict.

According to police, Kafle was arrested from Imadol, Ward No. 4 of Mahalaxmi Municipality and has been sent to the Kavrepalanchok District Police Office for the execution of the court’s sentence.
