Banking News – The Government of Nepal has appointed Govind Bahadur Karki as the country’s new Chief Secretary.

The decision was made during the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Wednesday. Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel said the Council of Ministers approved the appointment of Karki, who has been serving as Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Karki will succeed Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal, who is set to retire on mandatory retirement effective Asar 26, 2083 BS.
