Banking News – Kumari Bank Limited has donated smart televisions to six community secondary schools in Gaumul Rural Municipality, a remote Himalayan region of Bajura District, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The program was implemented through the bank’s Gaumul Branch in coordination with Gaumul Rural Municipality. According to the bank, the initiative aims to promote information and communication technology (ICT)-based teaching and learning, expand students’ access to digital education, and strengthen opportunities for quality education in rural and remote communities.

The bank stated that schools in the Gaumul area have long faced limited access to modern educational resources due to geographical challenges. The installation of smart televisions is expected to make classroom teaching more interactive, technology-driven, and effective.

The beneficiary schools include Shree Manakot Secondary School, Shree Janjyoti Secondary School, Shree Amlish Secondary School, Shree Phoolpata Secondary School, Shree Kirtichaur Secondary School, and Shree Bal Bikash Secondary School.

Kumari Bank said the initiative reflects its belief that education is a fundamental right for every child and forms part of its broader efforts to reduce disparities in educational opportunities and resources between urban and rural areas.

The bank added that the smart televisions will enable students to access digital learning materials, audiovisual educational content, and technology-based teaching methods, helping improve the overall learning experience.

Under its “Kumari Bank for the Community” motto, the bank has been implementing various CSR initiatives in the fields of education, healthcare, financial literacy, environmental conservation, and community development. It believes this latest educational support will help students in remote areas acquire digital skills and knowledge while contributing to the long-term improvement of educational quality at the local level.
