Nepal Investment Mega Bank Urges Shareholders to Update Bank Account Details to Claim Pending Dividends

Banking NewsNepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) has urged shareholders with unclaimed dividends to update their bank account details to facilitate the payment of pending dividend amounts.

In a public notice, the bank requested shareholders to update their bank account information linked to their Demat accounts so that cash dividends can be directly credited to their registered bank accounts.

The bank stated that shareholders who have not yet updated their bank account details in their beneficiary (Demat) accounts should immediately contact their respective Depository Participant (DP) where they opened their Demat accounts. Shareholders holding physical share certificates have also been requested to dematerialize (convert) their shares into electronic form and update their account information.

In addition, the bank said that a list of shareholders whose cash dividend payments could not be processed due to incorrect or incomplete bank account details has been published on its official website. These shareholders are advised to verify and update their information as soon as possible to receive their pending dividends.

The bank further informed shareholders that dividend amounts remaining unclaimed for five years will be transferred to the Investor Protection Fund Secretariat under the Office of the Company Registrar, in accordance with prevailing regulations.
