Man Arrested Over Bounced Cheque Case Involving NPR 5.6 Million


Banking News – Police have arrested a man who had been absconding after being convicted in a cheque bounce (cheque dishonour) case.

The arrested individual has been identified as Mohan Bahadur Gurung, a permanent resident of Waling Municipality-4, Syangja, who was currently residing in Thaiba, Godawari Municipality-14, Lalitpur.

According to police, the court had sentenced Gurung to two years’ imprisonment and ordered him to pay NPR 5.6 million in connection with the cheque dishonour case.

A team from the Lalitpur District Police Range arrested Gurung based on confidential information. Following his arrest, he was presented before the concerned court for the execution of the court’s verdict, police said.
