The new facility was inaugurated on Friday by Rajesh Upadhyay, Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors, during a special ceremony attended by board members, the Chief Executive Officer, senior management officials, and bank employees.
The Digital Hub has been established as part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to modernizing digital banking services by making them more secure, technology-driven, and customer-centric.
A key feature of the new facility is its integrated Coffee Lounge, where customers can enjoy a comfortable environment while accessing a range of banking services, including cash deposits, cash withdrawals, cheque clearing, and various digital banking transactions.
According to the bank, Mahalaxmi Development Bank is likely the first bank in Nepal to introduce a banking outlet that combines a fully functional digital banking hub with a coffee lounge, offering customers a more engaging and convenient banking experience.
The bank said the Digital Hub has been launched with the objective of encouraging greater adoption of digital banking, particularly among younger customers, while expanding access to technology-based financial services.
In addition to banking transactions, the facility will also provide digital banking consultation services, enabling customers to learn about digital financial products and services. The bank expects the hub to serve as both a learning center and an experiential space for customers exploring digital banking solutions.
Furthermore, Mahalaxmi Development Bank stated that it remains committed to promoting financial innovation by embracing the Nepal Rastra Bank’s Regulatory Sandbox framework, paving the way for the introduction of new and innovative financial products and services in the future.
