Banking News – Gayatri Katuwal Bhandari has been elected President of the Itahari Chamber of Industry and Commerce. According to Election Committee Coordinator Tank Dulal, Bhandari defeated her closest rival, Navaraj Kafle, by 15 votes in the vote count completed on Sunday night.

According to the final results, Bhandari secured 758 votes, while Kafle received 743 votes.

In the Commerce Members category, Jeevan Kumar Nyaupane, Sanjeev Khadka, Balram Basnet, Sinet Rijal, Sanjay Sah, Bal Bahadur Nyaupane, Sunny Chaudhary, Dinesh Prasad Dhamala, and Mahesh Thapa were elected.

In the Women Members category, Meena Acharya Dhakal and Sumitra Ghimire Bhattarai were elected.

Similarly, in the Industry Members category, Abhishek Basnet, Shiva Prasad Bhattarai ‘Bhupal’, Hari Prasad Timsina, and Kisan Kumar Khedia were elected.

According to the Election Committee, 1,543 votes were cast out of a total of 2,369 registered voters.
