Banking News – Preparations have been completed for the month-long Shrawani Fair at the Doleshwar Mahadev Temple, revered as the head of the famous Kedarnath Temple. According to Dharma Raj Basnet, Chairman of the Mahadev Temple Conservation and Development Committee, all arrangements have been finalized for the 38-day fair at Doleshwar, Sipadol, Suryabinayak Municipality-8, Bhaktapur.

The organizers estimate that more than 300,000 devotees will visit the fair during the festival period, and management arrangements have been made accordingly. A large number of visitors is expected on Saturdays and Mondays, while the number of Indian religious tourists is also expected to increase this year. The committee has projected that the temple will collect around Rs 10 million in offerings during the month-long fair.
To ensure the well-being of devotees, a free health camp will be operated within the temple premises throughout the fair, according to Ward Chairperson Pushpa Raj Basnet.
He said CCTV cameras have been installed, volunteers will be deployed for queue management, and special priority has been given to transport management to ensure the fair is conducted in a safe and orderly manner.
In recent years, the number of Indian pilgrims visiting the Doleshwar Mahadev Temple has increased, contributing to growing international recognition of the temple and the religious significance of the Shrawani Fair.
According to Hari Sharan Basnet, General Secretary of the committee, religious discourses by spiritual leaders will be held every Saturday and Monday, while daily bhajan and kirtan programs will be organized throughout the fair.
