Banking News – Nepal Bank Limited’s Dhunche Branch, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, has distributed school uniforms and educational materials to 92 students from seven schools in remote areas of Rasuwa. According to Branch Manager Krishna Tamang, the initiative was launched for the first time to boost the morale of students studying in community schools in remote regions.

The bank distributed the materials to students of Bhimli Basic School, Parbatikunda Basic School, Gatlang, Gosainkunda Basic School, Aamachhodingmo, Komin Shyame Wangfel Secondary School, Syafrubesi, Lingling Primary School, and Rasuwa Secondary School, Dhunche.
Speaking on behalf of the participating schools, Kishor Kumar Purkoti, Principal of Komin Shyame Wangfel Secondary School, thanked Nepal Bank for providing uniforms and educational materials to students in the Himalayan and remote areas. He also requested the bank to continue linking its CSR initiatives with educational programs.
According to Branch Manager Krishna Tamang, the Dhunche Branch, established in 2033 B.S. as the first bank in the district headquarters, has made arrangements to complete most banking services within five minutes. He said the branch has continued to improve its service delivery.
According to Treasurer Prakash Dhakal, the bank also operates a service counter in Syafrubesi, the district’s former headquarters. The Dhunche Branch currently serves around 13,000 depositors, more than 600 loan customers, and over 5,000 other customers.
Similarly, Assistant Branch Manager Narayan Prasad Adhikari said the branch provides prompt services and is responsible for supplying currency notes to 17 banks and financial institutions in the district, processing payments for all government offices, and managing government revenue collections. He added that customers have expressed satisfaction with the bank’s efficient service delivery.
Established in 1937 (1994 B.S.), Nepal Bank currently operates branch offices in 72 districts across the country.
