Banking News – Police have arrested Ward Member Uttam Budhathoki for allegedly throwing used engine oil (Mobil) on an education officer in an attempt to disrupt the School Management Committee election at Padyamodaya Public Model Secondary School in Ghorahi Metropolitan City-15, Dang.

The arrested individual has been identified as 42-year-old Uttam Budhathoki, a ward member of Ghorahi Metropolitan City-15.

According to police, on Asar 27, Budhathoki allegedly stopped the motorcycle (Ra 1 Ba 1042) being ridden by 48-year-old Ajaya Bohora, an Education Officer at the Education Division of Ghorahi Metropolitan City who was also serving as the polling officer for the election, and splashed engine oil on his body.

Following the incident, Budhathoki went into hiding. A case was registered on Asar 28 under charges relating to inhuman and degrading treatment.

After the Dang District Court issued an arrest warrant, police apprehended Budhathoki on Asar 29 while he was hiding in Ghorahi Metropolitan City-15.

Police said further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
