Banking News – Users of Nepal’s Nagarik App can now access real-time information on blood availability across the country following the integration of a new “Blood Information” portal into the government platform.

With the new feature, users can instantly check the availability of different blood groups and the number of units in stock at blood transfusion centers nationwide.

According to the Ministry of Health and Food Safety, the portal enables users to view blood inventories from multiple blood transfusion centers in one place, making it easier to locate the required blood group and identify where it is available.

The service has been integrated into the Nagarik App as part of the government’s efforts to make healthcare services more efficient, transparent, and technology-driven.

Officials expect the portal to help patients and their families quickly access critical information during medical emergencies, improve the management of blood supplies, and strengthen coordination among blood transfusion centers across the country.
