Banking News – Sangita Pahadi Aryal has been reinstated as the Managing Director of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (Nepal Telecom) following her acquittal by the Special Court of all charges previously brought against her.

According to a ministerial-level decision made by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on July 10, 2026 (Asar 26, 2083 BS), Aryal’s suspension has been lifted, allowing her to resume her position as the company’s Managing Director.
Speaking during the reinstatement ceremony, Aryal urged Nepal Telecom employees to carry out their duties with integrity and confidence, emphasizing that they should not fear working in the best interests of the institution and the nation.
She also stated that the allegations and misconceptions that had surrounded employees in the past had ultimately been cleared, with the truth prevailing. Aryal expressed her gratitude to the entire management team and staff for providing effective leadership and support during her absence.
Highlighting the need for procedural reforms within the organization, Aryal said Nepal Telecom would focus on both internal improvements and external stakeholder perspectives in the coming days. She pledged to work in line with the policies and guidance of the Government of Nepal while strengthening public trust, enhancing the company’s market reputation, and making its services more customer-centric.
Nepal Telecom reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality telecommunications services, upholding the rule of law, and continuing its leading role in Nepal’s telecommunications sector while serving customers, stakeholders, and the general public.
